My name is Julian Lewis, and I am an Economics graduate from the University of the West of England (UWE). I studied Economics at degree level, where I developed a strong understanding of both microeconomics and macroeconomics, including topics such as market structures, fiscal and monetary policy, behavioural economics, and international trade.

Through my university studies, I learned not only how economic theory works, but how to apply it critically: analysing real-world events, evaluating policy decisions, and constructing clear, well-structured arguments. These are exactly the skills A-Level students need to succeed in their exams.

I understand that Economics can feel abstract or overwhelming at first. My approach is to break complex topics down into simple, logical steps so students build genuine understanding, not just memorisation. I focus heavily on exam technique, essay structure, data interpretation, and evaluation skills, because these are what separate average grades from top grades.

As a professional working in finance, I also bring real-world perspective to the subject. I help students connect what they are learning in the classroom to current economic events, which makes the subject more engaging and easier to retain.
