I am a first year Economics and Finance student at the University of Manchester, where I study quantitative modules including statistics and mathematical economics alongside my core degree. I achieved A*A*A* at A-Level, with my A* in Maths reflecting a strong foundation in the subject at the highest level.
I am analytical, patient and genuinely enjoy breaking down complex problems into something logical and clear. I believe that most students who struggle with Maths do so because a concept was not explained in the right way the first time, and that with the right approach the subject clicks far more easily than people expect.
Outside of my degree I have experience as a year 7 mentor and hope to use the skills learnt to make the session as engaging as possible. I take tutoring seriously and prepare for each session in advance, so that time spent together is focused and productive.
I am reliable, punctual and easy to communicate with. My goal is not just to help students pass their exams but to give them enough genuine understanding that they feel confident going into the exam room.
