Hi, I’m Roseleen, a friendly and supportive ESOL tutor with experience working with learners in college and educational settings. I work with adults and young learners who want to improve their English skills, build confidence, and communicate more clearly in everyday, academic, and work-related situations.
My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and structured. I understand that learning English can feel intimidating, especially for learners who lack confidence or have had negative learning experiences in the past. Because of this, I focus on creating a calm and supportive environment where students feel comfortable practising, making mistakes, and asking questions.
I tailor each lesson to the individual learner’s level, goals, and pace. Lessons may focus on conversational English, grammar explained in a simple and practical way, reading and writing skills, listening practice, pronunciation, and everyday English for work, study, or daily life. I prioritise real-life communication so students can use what they learn immediately outside of lessons.
I have experience supporting learners from diverse language and cultural backgrounds, including students who benefit from clear explanations, repetition, and step-by-step guidance. I am particularly mindful of different learning styles and adapt my teaching approach to suit each student’s needs.
My aim is to help learners feel more confident, independent, and capable when using English. Whether a student is learning English for work, education, or personal development, I am committed to supporting steady progress in a way that feels positive, motivating, and achievable.
